Terrestrial shrub rooted in thick moss and humus
with branches to 1.5»m; rachis, pedicels and calyx
pale green; corolla tube red lower 1/2, becoming
pale yellowish green distally, lobes red; corolla
angled; filament tube bright red; connectives white;
anthers golden yellow. Common but little in flower.
