Atriplex pusilla Wats. 4 km. west of Wells, Elko County, at an altitude of 1706 m. Growing in alkaline soil in open places between plants of Sar- cóbatus vermiculatus, associated with Distichlis spicata. The species grows also northeast of Wells in similar situations, and apparently without change of characters. Sepals sometimes 5, sometimes 4; leaves thick, succulent. Collected by H. M.
