Habitat
Rocky riverside with rapids, riverine vegetation, cerrado with sandstone outcrops and some grassland areas subject to flooding byt dry at time of collection. This plant growing among rocks.

Description
Slender shrub to ca. 1 m. Stems above, red-tinged. Bracts and calyx red-tinged. Petals magenta. Anthers very pale pink. Style dark pink with white stigma. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
