  • Description

    Pileus 3-9 cm broad, plano-convex with slightly inrolled margin, maturing plano-depressed; margin even, in age slightly striate to 5 mm; cuticle viscid, shiny, when dry remaining shiny, glabrous, separable to one-half the radius, disc area a deep neutral brown with hues about 58 moderate Brown, M&P 7J10, lighter marginally, 57 light Brown, M&P 15C10; trama thin, 4 mm at mid-radius, brittle, white, unchanging when injured, taste slowly moderately acris, odor nil. Lamellae 6 mm broad at mid-radius, subacute in front, adnate to adnexed, close to medium, with rare long lamellae or forking near the stipe, intervenose, edges even, brittle, white, unchanging. Stipe 2.5-6.5 x 0.7-2.5 cm, equal to slightly enlarging basally, dry, glabrous, longitudinally rugulose, white, stuffed, unchanging when injured. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
