Description
Shrub to 4 m. with one or two tall straight stems about 20 cm. diameter near base. Stems grey brown weakly four angled, with vertically fissured bark. Leaves borne on slender flexuous horizontally borne side shoots bearing the inflorescences. Leaves rather yellow green above, paler bluish green beneath, strongly rugose with undulate margins; with weak resinous odour. Flower heads on spreading peduncles. Calyces green, tinged reddish purple above and on teeth. Teeth strongly depressed, corolla bright sky blue with paler tube. Style, stigma and filament very pale blue, anthers blue black. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
