Description
Pileus 7 cm broad, dry, convex, matted subtomentose, pale reddish tones on disc, pale yellowish brown toward margin. Flesh pale yellow, bluing with exposure, 15 mm thick. Tubes vivid yellow, depressed around the stipe, bluing with exposure, pores concolorous, blue green when bruised, <1 mm broad. Stipe 9 cm long, 13 mm broad, subclavate, dry, yellow at apex, with brown low ridges toward base, red above the yellow mycelioid base, with a fine pruinose covering that is yellow to brown to red from apex to base; interior solid, concolorous with pileus flesh and staining likewise. NH4: changing the blued flesh back to yellow, negative on the pileus. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
