Quercus seemanii and Q. copeyensis/costaricensis. Solitary. Soil.

Description
Pileus 8 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, subtomentose, red at first, fading to a pale olivaceous with red overtones (washed out in rain?), NH4 (-). Flesh 2 cm thick, yellow, cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Tubes depressed around the stipe, yellow (2-3A5), cyanescent, 1 cm long, with pores concolorous, cyanescent, <= 2 per mm. Stipe 11 cm x 1.5 cm, subclavate, dry, glabrous, bright yellow at apex, with red developing toward base, obscurely reticulate ridges (not a true reticulum), white mycelium at base, with interior yellow and cyanescent.
