Forest on sandy soils, terrain deeply dissected by streams draining low mountains. Canopy discontinuous, high density of small trees. Rare.

Tree 5m, fruits obovoid, apex acuminate, maturing yellow, 3 cm long. Understory of upland forest. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
