Canada. British Columbia. Prince Rupert Area: Lewis Island, on North end of island near and just inland from abandoned houses.

Habitat
Along sea shore rocks and in extensive blanket bog several 100 meters inland. The bog with open aspect and few trees present. Dominant bryophytes include Sphagnum imbricatum and Sphagnum tenellum. Granitic rocks exposed with Andreaea rupestris abundant.
