Scarsdale Collecting along trail in Bronx River Reservation entering at
Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale to Tucahoe along the Bronx River,
ca. 40°58’N, ca. 73°58’W. Associated species : Acer, Aesculus,
Pinus, Tsuga canadensis, Ornithogalum and Alliaria.
Large tree ca. 20 m tall, dbh 0.7 m. Bark brownish-grey, fissured to
scaly. Leaves wedge-obovate. Showy, erect, clusters of white flowers.
Frequent.
