Weedy roadside with herbs and shrubs. Disturbed semi-deciduous subtropical or chaco forest, partially cleared for pastures, with Aspidosperma cylindrocarpum, Reichenbachia hirsuta. Fine sandy and clay soil, flat.

Slender erect, 1.8 m tall. Flowers light pinkish violet.
