Habitat
Sandstone cliff. Steep N-facing river bluff with sandstone cliffs below, limestone cliffs above. Rich forest of Acer saccharum, Tilia americana underlain by an extensive population of Taxus canadensis. Other associates found here: Staphylea trifoliata, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Dirca palustris, Aralia nudicaulis, Cypripedium calceolus, Trillium flexipes, Rhus radicans, Mitella diphylla, Asarum canadense, Polemonium reptans, Thalictrum dioicum, Geranium maculatum, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Sanguinaria canadensis, Carex sprengelii, Adiantum pedatum.
