Forest and slightly higher sandy areas. Betula nigra, Quercus bicolor, Acer saccharinum. Common. In old sandy field.

Description
The clones are apparent, as each one seems to have a slightly different flower color, the corolla ranging from violet to a very pale blue, nearly white. [Data not shown on label:] Herb. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
