White sand scrub, in openings. Known only from undisturbed scrub vegetation. With overstory of Pinus clausa, Ceratiola, Quercus chapmannii, Quercus myrtifolia; with Garberia, Sanidiphyllum, Paronychia, Breweria grandiflora.
