    United States of America. Idaho. Lemhi Co. Salmon River Mountains, Salmon National Forest, ca. 15 air miles west-southwest of Salmon. Gravelly road cut 0.4 mile west of Williams Creek Summit on road to Cobalt.

  • Habitat

    Southwest aspect, slope ca. 70%. With Artemisia tridentata vaseyana, Elytrigia spicata near interface with Douglas fir. Large population of over 300 plants of all age classes both on road cut (a few plants) and on fill (most of population).

  • Description

    Flowers clear blue to blue-violet or bluish-purple; staminode glabrous; foliage dark gray-green; most plants to ca. 0.8 m tall. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
