Habitat
At edge of gravelly road bed. With Portulaca pilosa, Helenium amarum, Cenchrus sp., Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Hypericum gentianoides. Abundant. Packed sandy ground.

Description
Spikelets yellowish, the old, dried ones brown; abundant and widely scattered, the plants assuming a wide variety of clump sizes. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
