Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the city of Curitiba (-25.495462, -49.286029); repeated step for the city of Paranaguá (-25.547645, -48.538452). Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure a straight line between the geographic centers of Curitiba and Paranaguá, then halved this distance (37.62 km) to find the midpoint. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the midpoint, within the Serra do Mar mountain range. Used the halved distance as the linear extent of the locality.
