Prosthechea baculibulbon (Schltr.) comb. ¡ned.
"This is one of several species in the Prosthechea vespa (Veil.) W.
Higgins complex related to P. crassilabia (Poepp. & Endl.) Carnevali &
I. Ramirez and P. tigrina (Linden ex Lindi.) W.E. Higgins. There are
several names available in both Epidendrum L. and Encyclia Hook, but
most lack combinations in Prosthechea. Prosthechea baculibulbon is
available for this Costa Rican species The Prosthechea vespa complex
is in need of an urgent revision"
