Habitat
Open forest on steeply hilly terrain. Either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago. Rare.

Description
Tree. Tree 18m x 16cm, branching from 10m, leaning, outer bark brown, flaky, thin, inner bark beige, somewhat fibrous. Inflorescences erect, most flowers in bud, open flowers white. In gap. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
