Habitat
Montane cloud forest. Quercus copeyensis, Q. seemannii. Gregarious. On soil.

Description
Pileus 2-7 cm broad, spathulate to conchate often laterally attached to stipe, tough and coriaceous, zonate, orange brown to yellow brown, usually white at margin., typically radially rugose to rugulose Flesh white, zonate (annular rings progressing from stipe toward edge of pileus), with strong farinaceous odor and taste. Hymenophore dentate and decurrent, light brown with white tips at first, eventually light brown to yellow brown overall. Stipe, when it exists, is often giving rise to several laterally attached pilei, tough and durable. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
