Soligenous, poor fens with mud-bottom pools, "lawns" & "forests". Pools sparsely vegetated, Menyanthes/Utricularia; lawns, Myrica gale-Juniperus communis/Eriophorum angustifolium-Scirpus caespitosus-Rhynchospora alba-Carex livida/Rhacomitrium langinosum-Sphagnum austinii- S. papillosum-S. rubellum; forests, Pinus contorta-Thuja plicata-Chamaecyparis nootkatensis/Myrica-Juniperus-Ledum-Empetrum-Cornus/Rhacomitrium-Hylocomium-Cladinas.
