    High coastal evergreen forest on heavy loam. This plant growing in shade.

  • Description

    Large forest sedge. Leaves shiny darkish-green, to 1.5 m long. Bases of bracts and cauline leaves reddish-tinged as are rays of inflo. Glumes pale glaucous green. Costa forming prominent keel below:- Peduncle of inflo. to 60 cm long or more, leaves and lowermost bracts twice as long as peduncle or more. Peduncle sharply trigonou. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
