    Brazil. Acre. Porto Acre Mun. Reserva Florestal Humaitá (of UFAC), 33 km NNE of Rio Branco on road to Porto Acre (AC-10), then several km W on Ramal de Canindê.

  • Habitat

    Slightly disturbed forest with discontinuous canopy to @ 17m, emergents to 25m. Gently undulating terrain. Some areas dominated by large, climbing bamboo ("taboca"). Rare.

  • Description

    Tree 12 m x 12 cm, bark tan, smooth, powdery. Wood very hard. Branching only near apex. Flowering on high, almost plagiotropic branches. Mature buds. Most leaves damaged by insects. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
