Habitat
Flat, clay, mostly in fields of sugar cane, with a few Acrocomia aculeata and Attalea speciosa trees.

Description
Trailing over short grasses near abandoned sugar-workers shelter, with Luffa cylindrica, but of the several plants, the one with the larger, 8 cm diam., soft, non-bitter fruit may be an escape, but the others are more slender and have uniformly smaller fruits with very bitter flesh and are undoubtedly wild. Seeds tan. Corollas open (11:00 A.M., mostly overcast).
