  • Description

    Huge terrestrial herb, 2 m tall and wide; cataphylls persistent-dry, intact, hiding stem completely (internode length extremelly reduced); inflorescence solitary; peduncle ivory becoming cream-yellow; spathe cream-yellow suffused bright green, in upper half suffused rose-maroon behind, very glossy, 23 cm long, tube undefined, rather the spathe narrowed continually from a point 4.5 cm above base to apex; inside tube creamy filled with yellowish gelatin between it and spadix; fruiting spathe to 28 x 7 cm; infrutescence proper 12 x 3.3 cm; fruits 1.2 x 0.7-1.1. cm variously lobed, cream yellow suffused deep salmon; another infrutescence to 14.5 x 5.5 cm.
