Description
Stem subterranean to 15 cm. diam. Leaves 2-5 per plant with prickles on petiole and rachis. Leaflets variable. Shade leaves with papyraceous leaflets 10 cm. by 30 cm. Sun leaves with coriaceous leaflets 2 cm. by 30 cm. Coralloid roots present. Old male cones with weevil holes and 6-8 cm. long, peduncle 5 cm. long. Female cones to 15 cm. long, peduncle to 10 cm. long. Seeds dark orange to red. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
