Panama. Coclé. Trail along continental divide to the E at Los Volteaderos, ca. 12.4 km N of La Pintada along road to Coclecito.

Habitat
Primary forest at summit of cerro with Colpothrinax, Melastomataceae, Eugenia, Bromeliaceae and Ericaceae. Locally common.

Description
Shrub to 2.5 m tall. Calyx dark green. Corolla bright, dark orange, with dark green flaring limb and lobes. Locally common. [DNA; pickled].
