This plant on rocks, often in shade of dense
mata de cipo.
Stem 4cm thick, densely covered with up to
8mm thick white roots* forming 2cm thick
'cortex1 around stem. Petiole to 22i-cm long,
1,6cm deep,

Lamina with undulate margin but not markedly
or regularly so, texture less coriaceous than
in Harley 18594, 16000, obovate to elliptical,
to at least 85cm long, 30cs across, base
rounded to acute or lonely narrowing, dull
green above, paler and gleaming below.
Nervationabove same colour as la~ina, below
slightly paler than lamina, never yellowish.
Peduncle to 56cm long, 1 cm thick, green.
Stipe very dark timid green, usually about
2mm long (measured dorsally) but up to 15mm
long, and' then swelling upwards. Spadix
cylindrical, post-anthesis tepais grjy, suadix
to 9cm long, 1 *5cm thick or more, opathe".
