Palmer 102 in 1877 is reported as a type of Xylophacos brachylobus Rydb.
Bull. Torr. Bot. Club 52:154.1925. This is an error (see Barneby, 1964, p.640).
The type, Palmer 102 from Prescott, Arizona is a collection from 1876.
