    United States of America. Utah. Grand Co. Hillside in the Colorado River Canyon a little below Salt Wash, northeast of Moab.

  • Habitat

    Hillside. Not seen on the prevailing red sandstone of the area. Stony soil filled with water-worn crystalline rocks.

  • Description

    Stems clustered on a taproot, widely ascending but not quite prostrate, the flowering branches more assurgent. Corolla pink-purple, the banner with a large central pale spot. Pods more or less arcuate, mottled, broadly reniform-obcordate in section, the upper side anticlinally ridged, the lower side broadly sulcate, neither suture evidently intruded. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
