    Forest on gently undulating terrain, alternating between (1) dense forest with strong presence (but not dominance) of Guadua sarcocarpa that died back 22 years ago, and (2) "baixio" (forest in low-lying area with waterlogged soils). Rare.

    Tree. Tree 25 m x 30 cm, outer bark brown, finely rissured, shed in small thin plates, thin, inner bark rose, thick. Stamens white. On slope. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
