Guyana. Wet roadside ditch along the East Bank highway (Georgetown to Temehri International Airport) just south of Providence. About 8 km (by air) S of Georgetown.

Plants common in shallow water or exposed on mud ditch at edge of road in front of cemetery.

Description
Inflorescence a panicle with only several flowers per inflorescence open at a time. Flowers violet, wilting at 4:30 pm. Mature fruits and seed observed. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
