Description
Tree fern, the trunk 3.5 m tall, 15 cm in diameter, to 8 m tall here; stem rough with spiny old petiole bases. Petiole 30-35 cm long; rachis 120 cm long, with ca. 20 pinnae per side; the lowermost 3 pinnae per side sterile, then 7-8 per side fertile, the terminal ones sterile.
