Habitat
Sandstone, metamorphic and quartzite rock outcrops with associated marsh, damp flushes and grassland, and some cut-over mixed deciduous woodland by stream and cerrado. This plant growing by stream and among rocks.

Description
Tree to 4 m. Leaves coriaceous rather bright green above, glossy; dull paler beneath. Receptacle green tinged reddish. Young fruit deep lurid green with pale spots. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
