Habitat
Chaparral of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus otayensis, Ceanothus oliganthus, Cupressus forbesii, Xylococcus bicolor, Chamaebatia australis, Pickeringia montana, Malosma laurina, Salvia mellifera, and Eriogonum fasciculatum. Locally common. Mostly on mesic exposures.

Arborescent shrub to 10 m. Voucher for seed collections. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
