  • Description

    Erect aromatic herb to ca. 1.5 m. Stems brown below; flowering stems wandlike, glaucous above with purplish-grey waxy bloom, inflated. Leaves mid-green, rugose above, paler beneath. Calyx tinged reddish-purple. Corolla sky-blue with paler areas at base of upper lobes with superimposed pattens of black lines. Anthers yellow. (Flowers with explosive pollination mechanism). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
