  • Description

    Herb to 1.5 m with single main stem, with spreading hairs below, much-branched. Flowering stems glaucous, tinged red above, the largest with several swollen hollow internodes below inflorescence. Leaves green, rugose, with weak odor, paler beneath. Flowers on long red-tinged usually more or less horizontal pedicels. Calyx green, red-tinged above; corolla with white tube, off-white on outer surface, the lobes bright sky-blue within, the base of upper lip with pale area with ca. 4 dark red-black vertical lines. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
