Quercus oocarpa dominant with another Quercus sp. Gregarious. Soil.

Description
Pileus 5-8.5 cm broad, convex, dark reddish brown (8F8), subrugulose, dry, subtomentose, with a slight projecting margin. Flesh white to very pale yellow, not staining with exposure, up to 1 cm thick, with mild odor and taste. Tubes depressed around the stipe, up to 1 cm long, yellow (3A5), becoming mustard yellow (3B6), not staining; pores concolorous, up to 1 mm broad, with some light brown stains. Stipe 7 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, clavate, dry, yellow and finely subpruinose at apex, light gray brown (6D5) with some pink tinges when young, more uniformly gray brown and pruinose ridged below; pruina a darker brown; interior white, solid, unchanging, with white basal mycelium.
