Habitat
Semideciduous forest on granitic slopes and savanna.

Description
Tree with stem 3 m tall, 12.2 cm DBH. Ca. 8 leaves emerging from crown; no crownshaft. Many fibers at base of leaves. Total length of leaf ca. 2 cm; 104 pinnae per side of rachis; petiole 50 cm long; spathe 75 cm long, semi-woody. Fruits green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
