Habitat
Terrace ("tabuleiro") with some swampy areas, soils sandy. High density of slender-trunked trees but canopy discontinuous, few trees exceeding 15-20 m x 30 cm. Rare.

Description
Tree 5 m x 6 cm, outer bark brown, shed in long thin plates, inflorescence axes and calyx dull orange, corolla white, stamens purple, style white, fruits maturing dull red. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
