    From plants in open frame. Habit utterly prostrate; self rooting, Leaves not consistently ternate. No flowers, no fruit. Same material as van Melle 243. This material propagated from plant in nursery row, labelled Juniperus squamata Wilsonii. Received by Boyce-Thompson Arboretum, spring 1930, from Vicary Gibbs as Juniperus squamata Wilsonii. Another plant received from him at the same time, labelled Juniperus squamata prostrata died. Vicary Gibbs received seeds of Wilson's collection of Juniperus squamata No. 985. From seeds under this number, prostrate material was raised in many places, including Hornibrook, Rochester Parks, etc. Cultivated. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
