North aspect. Willow and birch-dominated riparian in sagebrush/grass zone; with Salix lutea, S. exigua, Juniperus scopulorum, Cornus stolonifera, Ribes aureum, Rosa woodsii, Clematis ligusticifolia, Rhus radicans and Prunus virginiana. Common. Rocky soil.
