    At spring, north-facing shady slope. With Petrophytum caespitosum, Brickellia, Heterotheca villosa, Cryptantha flava, Pinus edulis, grasses, Viguiera, Ostrya knowltonii, Cirsium arizonicum, Quercus turbinella, Epipactis, Castilleja; Agave utahensis and Nolina below. Locally frequent here. Kaibab limestone formation, rocky limestone.
