    Primary forest with canopy 15-25 m tall, and dominant trees 30-35 m tall, on white sand soil.

  • Description

    Pyramidal tree ca. 7 m tall. Leaves papyraceous, softly pubescent, dark green and shiny above, pale green below. Blades with two basal formicarics inhabited by fire ants. Common name: Jiquitaya.
