Habitat
Mixed restinga, much disturbed with areas subject to flooding with some mangrove species, and some high restinga on higher ground.

Description
Tree to 8 m. Twig bark brown with conspicuous lenticels. Leaves stiffly chartaceous, paler green below. Rhachis and pedicels pale green-yellow, perianth similar with white stamens. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
