Description
Shrub 2 m. tall, with spreading branches; whole plant, especially the fruiting inflorescences, inhabited by inoffensively biting ants which swarm over the plant to attack when disturbed, seem to be tending leafhoppers. Leaves green above, silvery-tan green below. Inflorescence held below leaves at all stages. Flowers hanging; corolla light yellow-green; anthers yellow. Fruits held downwards, not upwards to lower surface of leaf, all green. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
