Steep rocky slopes. With shrubland of Clusia lechleri, Agarista boliviensis, and patches of forest, at the first set of communication antennas.

Description
Small tree 4.5 m tall, 15 cm in diameter, gnarled; bark thick, furrowed, corky. Only old dark brown fruits.
