United States of America. California. Los Angeles Co. Cattle Canyon (a tributary of the East Fork of the San Gabriel River, the confluence being near the East Fork Guard Station). Mount Baldy District, Angeles National Forest.

Habitat
Associations: Cercocarpus betuloides, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Yucca whipplei, Quercus sp. (chrysolepsis ?), Pinus jeffreyi, Eriogonum sp., Abies concolor.

Description
Diameter 30 cm., Height 3.7 m. Crown width 4.9 m. One ovulate cone was retained 0n 3 Sep 1972. Several were lying on the rocky surface under the tree. Two ovulate cones werer collected. The tree is healthy. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
