  • Description

From letter from M. E. Jones to Prof. Newberry, dated 28 Jul 1887 from Salt Lake City: I send you two specimens, each with a double leaf. I glean them from my old specimens. Were I out among the pinyons I could gather abundant cones. Some trees have about half of the leaves double and half single. You are undoubtedly right as to the union of the two species. You can use this letter if you wish. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
