Description
Pileus 9 cm broad, subcampanulate, purewhite, viscid when moist, glabrous; gills adnexed, boad, changing to slow pinkish upon spore discharge, subventricose, crowded, pure white, edge pulverulent; stem pure white, changing slowly to slightly yellow with age, 13.5 cm without bulb (4 cm more with bulb), slender, 1.5 cm thick just above bulb, 1 cm thick at veil, cylindrical above bulb, tapering, stuffed, floccose, scaly; bulb oval, sunk in ground; annulus ample, superior, pendant, white turning slow yellowish with age, membranous, persistent; volva firm, thick below, membranous, white florming a genuine cup with ample free margin becoming apressed to stem; spores white in mas colorless by transmitted light, 8 by 11 u in diam, ovate, apiculate.
